[by Joy Kim] On 29th of May, Korean beauty brand Nature Republic announced they opened their first store in Myanmar.
The first store in Myanmar was opened in Saya San Road where the
main thoroughfare that runs through most of the important place in the
township, located in country’s largest city Yangon. Lot of fashion and
beauty merchandise and stores are located.
Nature Republic chose Myanmar to open their store and for the grand
opening the brand started their promotion and marketing even before the
opening. Starting from last March, the brand began large outdoor
advertisement campaign. Nature Republic’s plan is to open four more
stores in Myanmar at capital city Naypyidaw and Mandalay until July.
On their test opening day at 28th of May, they ran promotions and
events. First of all, the employees of Nature Republic visited largest
welfare center for children in Yangon. They had special time with 300
children with donation of rice, snacks and school supplies. After the
visit, they had VIP event inviting 500 celebrities and VIP guests from
Myanmar.
Young women of Myanmar made visit on the opening day and they
showed great interest on brightening skin care and makeup products such
as eye shadow, lip gloss, and nail care products.
According to the representative of Nature Republic, the brand plans
to have five stores in Myanmar before July. Regarding the hot and humid
weather of the country the brand plans to introduce 650 products which
fits the Myanmar people’s needs/
They will concentrate to promote ‘Soothing and moisture Aloe vera
92% ‘, one of the their best seller with superb soothing effect which
can be applied to face,body and hair. Also they will continue to
research on natural ingredients since women in Myanmar are familiar with
