Vice President Sai Mauk Kham left for Thailand on Saturday to attend the Second Asia-Pacific Water Summit held in Chiang Mai and to take part in the 10th Celebrations for the United Nations Day of Vesak (Buddha’s Birthday) in Bangkok of Thailand, the State-owned media reported.
While attending the summit, he discussed with Jung Hong-won, the Korean Prime Minister, separately at Imperial Hotel Yesterday over the enhancement of bilateral relations and construction of Hanthawady Airport and railroads and natural gas exploration.
They also discussed about sharing of knowledge and providing of assistance for Myanmar’s reform process and other investment sectors.
Sai Mauk Kham attended the opening ceremony of the Second Asia-Pacific Water Summit held in Chiang Mai, yesterday morning.
In the evening, he also attended the dinner hosted by Thai Prime Minister Ms Yingluck Shinawatra at Wiang Kum Kam Hsitorical Site in Chiang Mai.
